My Dad does rock! Actually, both of my parents do! I'm certainly lucky and blessed to have an amazing family! Here's the card that I made for my dad for Father's Day using some PTI stamps and a little bit of trickery:
I used the Dot Spot PTI stamp set to try this week's
Make it Monday #19 - the Rock and Roll technique. I used distress ink for the blue dots and pigment ink for the orange dots to create some grunge and different textures.
Now I know what you're thinking... this sentiment stamp CLEARLY says "Dude, you rock!" normally. After I inked up the stamp, I carefully erased the "E" and the top of the u and turned the u into an a with a black pen! I actually love how it turned out! =) I added some orange stickles, two glittery orange stars, a blue rhinestone and some twine!!! Here's a closeup of the adjusted sentiment and the embellishments:
Again, I used the
"Make it Monday #19 - Rock and Roll Technique" over at the Papertrey Ink blog for this week's challenge! =)
OK I hate to run but I've gotta go! Lots to do before I head off to Philly for the weekend! =) Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
Cute card, your dad is sure to love it! And great job with turning that dude into a dad!!!
ReplyDeleteSo creative of you to alter a sentiment stamp to get what you want from it!! This is really cool. I love how you used the Dot Spots!
ReplyDeleteLove this card, especially the colors! I'm linking this up on Practical Scrappers!
