Embellish Paper Piecing + Color Challenge

Good afternoon readers!  So this has been an extremely crazy week for me, and last night before bed I finally got a chance to post my Embellish Color + Paper Piecing Challenge card on my flickr account!  Of course, I was too tired and worn out last night to get a chance to post the card here, so I'm just getting around to doing that now -- better late than never!  =)

With this card, I tried lots of new things for the first time!  First, I played around with a little masking!  I masked off the flowers before stamping my background.  I also used paper piecing, and while I've done this before, it is still a new technique for me!  After coloring in the flowers I used my new glossy accents on them and on the birthday hat!  You can see this detail in one of the smaller pictures.

On another note, one of the blogs that I follow is having a really cool giveaway!  Ayana Posadas, who has just great inspiration on her blog, Ayana's Creations, is currently giving away a really nice pack of goodies HERE.  She also just created her first card video, and it is fabulous!  So get over to her blog and check it out!  =)

Well as always, thank you all for your continued support, and happy stamping!  =)
