Craft Emergency/Numbered Birthdays/Lawnscaping #1!!!

Hello there readers!  So first of all I have to congratulate everyone that was a part of the January DeNami Blog Hop!  It was truly amazing and I am so blessed to get the chance to be a part of so much amazing talent!

I also am so excited to have so many followers!  Yay!  You guys rock and I hope you enjoy all of my upcoming creations!  Remember, next Monday I'll be posting a blog candy opportunity, so be sure to leave a comment before then!  =)

OK so I have three (yes THREE!) cards to share with you tonight!  The first one was a craft EMERGENCY!  This past weekend, I was with my parents and family for Orthodox Christmas (my family is Serbian Orthodox), and for my Grandpa's 89th birthday.  With all of the preparations for our annual celebration, I TOTALLY FORGOT my grandpa's birthday card that I had made for him!  Since he's 89 and doesn't need much, the card is generally one of his favorite things!  I didn't have time to drive back and get it, and I had ZERO crafting supplies.  So with a budget of $10, I went to the local craft store to see what I could do.  Here's what I came up with:

All in all, I was super happy with it!  My most expensive purchase was Thickers, which took up 1/3 of the budget.  The LCS carries a lot of Darice products, which are inexpensive but often really handy!  I picked up some of their adhesive and a $1.00 package of the "just enough" ribbon, as well as some cardstock, two $1 stamps and a cheap black pigment pad!  I dug a few markers and some craft glue out of a junk drawer at my parents' house, and voila!  All in all, I was really happy with my thrifty result!

I've been really into making birthday cards that feature ages lately!  Here's another card that I made for a 20th birthday:

Again, I just can't get enough of this little set of birthday bees from Stampendous!  I just love them!

Finally, I just got around to making some cards for one of the newest challenge blogs out there, Lawnscaping!  The amazing, talented, and incredibly lovely Laurel Beard started a challenge blog for those of us who just LOVE Lawn Fawn (and if you've looked around here, you KNOW I love Lawn Fawn!).  If you love Lawn Fawn too, check it out HERE.  The first challenge theme is winter, and I made two attempts.  I'll share one with you today, and one tomorrow because it's not quite finished yet!  Here's the first one:

With the theme being winter, I just HAD to use the winter bunny.  He's my absolute fave!  I used a LOT of techniques here, starting with using VersaMagic ink to make the hills.  Then, I stamped and paper-pieced the bunny and colored him with copics.  Then, I stamped the snowflakes and the sentiment and distressed the edges of the card.  Next, I dabbed on some versamark ink and dusted over the hills with some white embossing powder to make them look soft and snowy!  Since the snow must come from somewhere, I added some big glitter to create the illusion that it's snowing on the card!  I'm definitely happy with the way this card turned out, and am so excited about Lawnscaping!

Lastly, here's a picture of my little furry best friend, Lucky:
He is patiently waiting for me to finish this blogging up so that he can have his spot back on my lap!  =)

Once again, thank you ALL for your amazing comments and constant support!  I am inspired by each and every one of you every day!  You always make me smile!  =D
