Some Fun Cards! =)

Hello readers!  Thanks for all of your wonderful comments on the pictures of the party!  It was a really fun time... though I think I'm still recovering from it!  LOL!  =)

Tonight I have a challenge card to share with you and a fun card to share with you!  The first one took a LOT of work but I think it turned out really great:

I ended up really liking the way this card turned out!  This was my FIRST attempt at stitching on a card! It didn't go perfectly, but it did turn out pretty nice!  I really like the look that the stitching creates!  The pearls didn't photograph too well here, but they are a more burgundy-esque color that matches the ribbon and paper on the card.

This card was inspired by the following challenges:
1.  The Play Date Cafe #53
2. 2S4Y Sketch #64

Ok!  So lately I've been trying my hand at lots of smaller projects that I'm going to post periodically.  I've been working on making my own Christmas gift tags, as well as making small, one layer cards that are versatile and great for gifts!

A few days ago, I found the *cutest* little set of clear stamps from Studio G.  I bought it and made this cute little card to give to my hubs this morning to brighten his day:

Isn't this just the cutest little stamp?  I added the "we're" at the top using Lawn Fawn's Harold's ABC's, however, unless you look closely I don't think you'd notice that it doesn't go with the rest!  I also added a little bit of my new twine that I got on Etsy from a lovely lady named Ryann Marin!  Anyhow, I really loved how this little guy turned out, and it was SUPER quick and easy!

Well, that's all I have for you today!  Happy stamping and crafting!  =)

Embellish and 2S4Y Challenges!

Good evening readers!  Tonight I have a quick post that I created for two of my favorite challenges: the Embellish Color Challenge and 2 Sketches 4 You's weekly sketch challenge.
I'm also entering this card in the Tuesday Throwdown #22: Anything Goes challenge!  =)
Keeping these things in mind, heres the card that I came up with:

One of my coworker's recently had a baby girl, and the doctors told them she was going to have a lot of medical problems from certain physical symptoms she was exhibiting.  It turns out, after many MANY tests and running the emotions of both of the parents to the bone, that she is TOTALLY HEALTHY!  This was such a blessing, and we are all thrilled that she is healthy!  =)  I know they'll enjoy this card!

Embellish's challenge was to use felt along with their theme colors.  I went for a very "homespun" look (this seems to be my new trend as of late), and used lots of twine.  The base flower is a stamp that I cut out... and who could resist those adorable leaf pins?  Overall, this isn't my favorite card, but there are some elements on it that I REALLY love!  =)

Well, thanks for stopping by!  Happy weekend everyone!

2S4Y Sketch - Kazan's Sketch #62

Hello readers!  So yesterday I told you that I had lots of productive crafting time, and so I'm very excited to show you two more cards today, both that I made for this week's 2S4Y Sketch #62:
I've really been into fun borders lately, and so this sketch was particularly exciting for me!  My first card is a "just because" card that gave me a chance to use some of my really fun new products!

Here I'm using the cute Petite Fours Owls stamp set from Denami Design.  I also have some fun felt letters that I just purchased.  Also, the bird tape on the left side of the card is some patterned tape that I found in the $1 bin at Michael's (it was SUCH a great find, I bought it in two patterns!)

My other card uses a circle front as its decorative border, and I turned the sketch on its side for this one:

I just can't resist this little mouse guy from Repeat Impressions!  Also, I was able to use my Teeny Tiny Backdrops from Lawn Fawn again which I just think worked so nicely here!  I have a special birthday coming up for someone really soon, and so I figured this was the perfect card!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed my new cards for the day!  Thanks for stopping by!  As always, I love and enjoy your comments everyday!  =)

Laura's Sketch - 2s4y

Happy Saturday readers!  This week has been so, SO busy, but luckily I've managed to find some time for the 2 Sketches 4 You weekly challenge!  Laura's design was really, REALLY great this week!  I've got some anniversaries coming up, and so I thought I'd make another "Happy Anniversary" themed card to match this week's sketch challenge:

I've been really inspired lately by cards with fancy die cut edges!  While I'm not lucky enough to have a die cut machine yet (I'm hoping for one for christmas though!) I did free draw and cut out this fun bracket-like edge!  I also really REALLY love the patterned paper that I used, My Mind's Eye just has such great stuff!  Finally, I've been so so SO in love with my distress ink lately that I just can't get enough!  I think it's that musky fall feeling that makes it so inspiring right now! My next project will be sans distress ink though - I'm already excited about it!  =)

Well, that's all I have to share with you today!  Have a lovely fall filled weekend!  =)

2S4Y Sketch #61

Hello readers!!  I hope that everyone is having a productive week and enjoying the fall weather!  I'm really loving the transition into the new season!  I'm back today with a card inspired by 2 Sketches 4 You Sketch #61 designed by the lovely Kazan.  Here's her sketch:
I flipped the image to the right.  I fell in love with this printed paper from American Crafts, and so I built the card around it!  Here's what I came up with:

I used embossing to create a bold look with the stamps, but countered that with the soft, silky sheer ribbon.  I think the card turned out very elegant!  =)

Hopefully you have all been enjoying my challenge posts!  I've had a lot of fun lately making all of these cards, and need to start sending some of them!  Until next time!  =D
