Happy Happy Birthday!!!

So recently I've been spending a LOT of time playing with my new stamps from both DeNami Design and Lawn Fawn (and sometimes together since the FABULOUS blog hop they held last weekend!!!)  The DeNami projects will have to wait for now (some of them are for ANOTHER blog hop this weekend, and others are just not quite ready to be shown off!) but here's something that I made with Lawn Fawn's little "Year One" set that I really, really like:

I recently purchased the "Fly a Kite" 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye's Lime Twist line.  Isn't that PP just to DIE for?  I really like that whole paper pad... so bright and cheery!  It was just screaming for some Lawn Fawny goodness to make it awesome!  I also added some fun colored pearls that match colors in the starred PP, and some white grosgrain ribbon... I really wanted to make the white pop on this card!  I finished it off with some faux stitching (thank you new Tim Holtz ruler for helping me measure!) and there it is!  It's fun and cute and totally mailable!!!  I have a few important birthdays coming up, too!  =)

This card was inspired by two fabulous challenge blogs:

1. Wee Memories Challenge #63 - Dare to Color

2. Tuesday Throwdown #61 - Birthday Cards

I hope everyone is still having a great summer!  I'm slowly coming to the realization that I'm going back to school SUPER soon, and so I've been trying to get ready for that.  I'm really going to miss all of the fabulous crafty time!

So, I have one more thing to share with you tonight!  I've been doing a LOT of cooking lately, and I love LOVE cooking.  One food that I absolutely love is dill pickles.  And being the kind of person that always wants to make things themselves, I've always wanted to try making pickles but often felt they would be something that was difficult to get right!  Well, THIS RECIPE over at One Perfect Bite is SO easy and makes pickles that are SO delicious that I'm not sure why EVERYONE wouldn't start making their own pickles all the time!  Here's a picture of my (delicious) homemade pickles:

Yum yum yum!  Ok well that's enough for me tonight... thanks for reading!!!  =)  Have a lovely Thursday and weekend and as always thanks for stopping by!  =D

Happy Birthday Plane

Hello everyone, and happy Monday!  I have a fun little card for you today using two of my favorite stamp companies, Papertrey Ink and Lawn Fawn!  I have a bunch of male birthdays coming up in the next few weeks, and so I made this for one of my brother in law's!

I just love love LOVE the Fly Away stamp set!  I stamped one of the planes and added the Happy Birthday banner!  Then I colored the whole thing in, and added glossy accents over the whole plane (I just love the way that plane looks with glossy accents on it!)  Then, I added the clouds from Lawn Fawn's Partly Cloudy stamp set to make a fun sky scene!  Finally, I added some baker's twine and pearls for a final touch!

This card was inspired by lots and LOTS of fantastic challenges:
1. Wee Memories #60 - Party Time
2. Tuesday Throwdown #54 - Create a Masculine Card
3. Off the Wall Craftiness #56 - Red, White and any Blue color
=)  It's been so SO great to get some seriously crafty time in lately!  How is everyone else enjoying summer, and can you believe it's almost July already?!?!?!?!  Madness!  Anyhow, have a lovely Monday!

Hi!

Well hi there blogland!  WOW I have been MIA lately!  It all started with a serious slump in my mojo.... after all kinds of mass-production of cards plus a busy schedule really left me feeling non-creative!  But now, school is OUT for the summer (YAY!) and so I've got lots and LOTS of crafting time on my hands!  =D  Finally, I came up with this CAS card yesterday:
This card is very simple, but I love how it turned out!  I cut the flower and leaves out of some fabulous paper from American Crafts A La Carte line!  I popped up the flower with some foam adhesive, and added some stickles and glossy accents to the center.  Then, I added some of my favorite Thickers (American Crafts again!) and some black Rhinestones for a little bling!  =)

It's been a long time since I made a card without any stamps, but it was super fun!  I was inspired by several different challenges for this card:
* The Play Date Cafe #84
* Wee Memories #59 - Anything Goes
* Tuesday Throwdown #51 - Make Your Own Embellishments (mine is that fabulous flower from the patterned paper!)

Well, that's all for me today!  I'll be back soon with more fun and exciting creations!  Keep making beautiful things, I've really enjoyed looking at your creations in the last few weeks, though I haven't had much time to leave comments!  =)  Happy Monday everyone!

I Appreciate You!!!

And that goes out to each and every one of you that follows little ole me!!!!  Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out my creations!  =)

Today, for whatever reason, has felt like a long looooong day!  Luckily, I had some time to get a little bit of crafting done!!!  =D  Here's today's card:

I really wanted to play along with this week's Card Patterns Sketch!  I've also been itching to use this particular American Crafts patterned paper, so this was the perfect opportunity!  I paired it with some PTI goodness, some brads as accents, and some crocheted trim, and voila!  This card was inspired by:
1. Card Patterns #112
2. Tuesday Throwdown #46 - Brads or Eyelets
As always, thanks for stopping by!  I hope you liked today's creation!  =)

If Friends were Flowers...

I'd pick all of you here on my blog because you are all wonderful!  =)  Hi everyone!  I'm back with another fun, Lawn-Fawny card today!  Lately, I've been really into very Spring-y colors (appropriate for this time of year!).  Anyhow, here's the card:
Can you tell I'm still having fun with all of my distress inks?!?!?!  And of course my doilies!  At first, I thought this green/purple combination would be such a wierd and strange look, but actually I LOVE it!  =)  And who can beat that very VERY fawny sentiment?!?!?

This card was inspired by two challenges:
1. City Crafter Challenge Blog #51
**Note: I didn't realize you had to use a digital image for this week's challenge!  Sorry about that CCCB!

Thursday's Creations!!!

Hi there blogland!  Well I had a very crafty day!  It all started with this video from the Lawn Fawn blog!  Kelly's idea of a background sentiment got my mojo going, and it gave me a perfect idea for the current Lawnscapings challenge:
Here's my card:

I love how much this blue just pops out!!!  And the birdy from "Fly Free" just looks so great as a bluebird!  This also took a TON of Lawn Fawn stamp sets, which was totally FUN!  =)

After that, I wanted to make a few more gift boxes for some cute little candy or other trinkets!  I made two boxes, each slightly different than the other:

In each situation, I stamped the cardstock with Lawn Fawn's teeny tiny backdrops, one with versamagic ink and one with versamark dazzle ink.  On one I embossed a sentiment right on the bottom, and on the other I added a removable tag with a sentiment!  These boxes were inspired by a few challenges:
1. Wee Memories #48 - Cute and Cuddly.  I think these are super cute to add to a baby gift!
2. City Crafter Challenge Blog #49 - Babies, Buttons and Bows
3. Tuesday Throwdown #41 - Anything but a Card

Ladybugs!!!

Hey there blogland!  We are smack dab in the middle of a wonderful weekend at HOME and I'm loving it!  It's been so long since we had a nice, quiet weekend at our house and I have to say it's been lovely!  =)  Not only did I get a bunch of housework done, but I also had LOTS of time this morning to craft!  =D

I was so excited to use this new stamp set from PTI that I recently bought.  It's not a newly released set, but it's new to me and I love LOVE ladybugs!  Anyway, here's my card:
I am really happy with how this card turned out!  I just love LOVE this sentiment, it's so true that you have to stop and enjoy the little joys  in life, like having a weekend at home!  =)

2. Tuesday Throwdown #39 - Use Scraps in/on your project
3. Etsy Inspired Challenge #130 - Artwork by Lori/The Royal Bead Shop.  I was inspired by this awesome piece of jewelry to add the flowers to this project:

Glitterate your Life!!!!

So I've finally done it, I've gone glittery!  For any of you that regularly follow my blog, you know that I RARELY use glitter!  For one, it's kind of messy, and for another, I'm just not that into giltter!  Well, I think that's all about to change because this new Make it Monday idea has changed my glittery mind!!!!  Check out my card:

More fun Valentines!

Hello readers!  I hope that everyone had a great weekend!  We certainly did here!  We spent lots of time relaxing, cleaning and of COURSE watching the Steelers win!  =D  So excited that Pittsburgh is going to another superbowl!

I have a few cards to share with you today!  The first one uses both Lawn Fawn and DeNami stamps:
This card uses LOTS of different techniques and I really love the way it turned out!  This card was inspired by two challenges:

My second set of cards is a set of six valentines that I made using Lawn Fawn's "My Silly Valentine."  I made two sets of these, one of my family and one for Winter's St. Jude's Caring Hearts card drive:

These cards were colored with copics, and if you look closely you can see faint hearts stamped on each valentine!  I really think these little valentines are fun and the sentiments are just SO cute!  These were inspired by Tuesday Throwdown's Challenge #32 - Valentines.

Hi readers!  So today was yet ANOTHER snow day, and I just might never ever actually get to go back to work!  Actually I'm sure it'll be just fine, but I'm just amazed at how many snow days we've already had!

Last week, my new stamps from DeNami Design came in the mail!  I've been waiting to bust them out and really have some fun with them, and so today's snow day was the perfect opportunity!  =)

I just love that heart outline stamp!  It's so versatile and there are SO many things that I can do with it!  I bought the teeny valentine sentiments and these two valentine chickies stamps too!  I folded the ribbon along the bottom for a fun and whimsical effect!  =)
