DeNami June Blog Hop!!!

Hello friends!  It's time for another DeNami Designs Blog Hop!!!
As you know, I'm always super excited for these blog hops and love love LOVE making cards based on them!  You should have made your way here from the lovely and fabulous blog of Vera Yates!  If you stumbled on this hop another way, just simply head back to the DeNami Blog to start from the beginning!

Since the theme was fabulous frames, I thought I'd create a frame out of one of my favorite DeNami stampables - their flowers!  Since my flowers here are just starting to bloom, I was really inspired by my gardens to make this flowery framed card:
I used the D75 - Small Daisy Blossom around the edges.  Each daisy is stamped, colored, cut out and adhered.  Then, in the middle I used the J77 - Large Daisy Blossom as a focal point, and added a sentiment from the PF42 - Love Sentiments Stamp Set.  I finished the whole thing off with some fun pearls and a button accent on the large daisy with a little matching twine!

This card did take awhile to accomplish, but with the nice, bold lines on the DeNami stamps the flowers were not hard to cut out!  Also, it's a nice way to add a fun shape and layer to your cards without using patterned paper or an actual frame stamp!  =)

Well, you still have lots of blogs to hop to!  Next on your list is the wonderful blog of the incredibly talented Annette Holleger!  I'm certain that she has something fabulous for you!!!  =)

Enjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget to comment along the way!  =)

Weekend Challenges - Embellish and Repeat Impressions!

Good evening readers!  First, I would like to wish EVERYONE a Happy World Cardmaking Day yesterday!  I know I was hard at work making some fun creations!  Today, I have two challenge cards to share with you that I just really enjoyed making!  First, I was SO excited for the new Embellish Color Challenge, since I absolutely love this color combination:

I also was excited since the extra technique was background stamping, since I am still absolutely loving my Teeny Tiny Backdrops from Lawn Fawn!  This is what I ended up with:

While going through my stamps, I was amazed to see how nicely that large heart stamp works with the hear background!  And I just love that gray satin ribbon!

Next, I've been dying to really play around with my Christmas Penguins set that I won from Repeat Impressions!  For their What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge S2210, I finally decided to get them out!  I ended up making THREE cards with the stamps, but here's the one that I made for the Challenge:

The colors in this card just make me feel so festive!  I particularly like the red distress ink that I've gotten the chance to use here!  You can also see that I'm still having SO much fun using baker's twine!  =)

In other news, I think that I'm just about ready to give out my blog awards!  Be on the lookout for them tomorrow!  I'm so excited to get to honor seven wonderful, crafty ladies!  Have a great day and week!

2S4Y Sketch - Kazan's Sketch #62

Hello readers!  So yesterday I told you that I had lots of productive crafting time, and so I'm very excited to show you two more cards today, both that I made for this week's 2S4Y Sketch #62:
I've really been into fun borders lately, and so this sketch was particularly exciting for me!  My first card is a "just because" card that gave me a chance to use some of my really fun new products!

Here I'm using the cute Petite Fours Owls stamp set from Denami Design.  I also have some fun felt letters that I just purchased.  Also, the bird tape on the left side of the card is some patterned tape that I found in the $1 bin at Michael's (it was SUCH a great find, I bought it in two patterns!)

My other card uses a circle front as its decorative border, and I turned the sketch on its side for this one:

I just can't resist this little mouse guy from Repeat Impressions!  Also, I was able to use my Teeny Tiny Backdrops from Lawn Fawn again which I just think worked so nicely here!  I have a special birthday coming up for someone really soon, and so I figured this was the perfect card!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed my new cards for the day!  Thanks for stopping by!  As always, I love and enjoy your comments everyday!  =)
