Happy Birthday and a Christmas Tree!

Hello readers!  So December isn't just the month for Christmas for me, it's also my birthday month!  Since my Christmas cards are just about finished, I decided to make both a Christmas card and a birthday card today!  I've been really getting a lot accomplished at my crafting table this week!  Yay!

Ok, so here's the Christmas Card:
I had SO much fun making this card!  I used one of my border punches to create the tree, curled up the edges, and blinged it out!  =D  I also had fun stamping the snowflakes (lawn fawn) and the sentiment (denami design).  Here are some close up shots:
I'm submitting this card to two challenges:
1. Denami Design Product Challenge 5 - Paper Punches
2. Wee Memories Challenge 34 - Holiday Song Inspiration

Ok, now here's the birthday card:
This card was also very fun to make!  I was influenced by several challenges when making this card!  I stamped the party hats, sentiment, and gift, paper pieced the gift and the hats, and added the embellishments!  I also curled up the end of the ribbon on the gift as well.  Here's a few close up pictures:

This card was inspired by several challenges:
1. OTWC 36

2. EBTKS 28 - Textures (I used velvet ribbon and twine)
3. Caardvarks - Monochromatic Card
Ok well that's all I have for you today!!!  I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Lots and Lots of Challenges!!

Hi paper crafting world!  It's good to be back!  I must say that I missed you all while I was away this weekend in Chicago, and I still have lots of catching up to do!  I have seen so MANY beautiful creations from this weekend at a glance on Blogger, but I must get caught up on reading and commenting soon!

Chicago was AMAZING.  I love it everytime I am there just a little more!  There is so much culture and wonderful experiences to be had there!  We did so much in four days, and saw so many great people that we love!  Both my husband and I have family and close friends in Chicago, so it was very VERY jam packed!  =)  I'll have pictures posted soon once I get them all organized!

I have two cards for you today!  The first one is a graduation card.  I know that it isn't time for graduation, but I have lots of graduations coming up this summer and I really REALLY wanted to use my new Lawn Fawn set!

As you can see here, I had lots of fun with this card!  I especially like the red dots that are covered in glossy accents... inspired by the photo from the etsy inspired challenge!  This card was inspired by the following challenges:
1. EBTKS 27
2. Wee Memories 31 - Patterned Paper

3. The Play Date Cafe 55
4. Etsy Inspired Challenge 114 - I used the picture below as inspiration. Inspiration from THIS Etsy shop!

I also made a card based on the Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #33, which is a color challenge using these colors this week:
Here's my take on the colors:
This card was more complicated. I first stamped the bunny and colored him in.  Then I masked the scarf and stamped and embossed the snowflake like and the sentiment.  I then masked the whole bunny and the hill and used green ink to create the snowy grass.  Finally, I stamped and embossed the glittery snowflakes in the sky!  This card was super fun to make, and that bunny is SUPER cute!  =)

Well, that's all I have for you today!  I have lots of little projects that I've been working on, so maybe I'll post some of those soon!  Thanks for stopping by today!  May inspiration strike you today!

Hello paper crafting world!  This week was so SO crazy!  Luckily, I was able to get lots of stuff for both school and home completed!  Here and there, I was also able to scrap!  Lately, I've been working on a lot of my own projects and have had a lot less time for challenge cards!  However, I did find some time tonight for a few challenge cards!  =)

Let me start by saying that lately I've been absolutely WILD over Lawn Fawn's Harold's ABC's and have been using them for EVERYTHING!  Also, I've been excited to start using some of the paper that I recently bought from Basic Grey!  Both cards started with this in mind, and I had good results!

1. Everything But the Kitchen Sink's Inspiration Photo/Colors:
2. Wee Memories Everything Goes Challenge

Thanks for looking as always!  Have a magnificent weekend!

Good evening everyone!!!  I hope that everyone had a great week and is on their way to having a relaxing and FUN weekend!  I know I'm planning on getting a LOT of crafting and cleaning done!  =)

The first thing I want to share with you is that Wee Memories, one of my favorite blogs with one of my favorite challenges, is having a giveaway!  If you've never been over to their site, check it out HERE.  This is their current challenge, and Scrappy Saturday is one of my favorite weekly challenges to do:

This card was so much fun to make!  I've been really having fun with my Lawn Fawn stamps lately!  I also was SO glad that my Bow Embellishments from Martha Stewart were the perfect matching color!  It's always great when I can use these little adhesive bows!  They are so cute!  And of course, this is MORE tape from the dollar spot at Michaels... I really LOVE it!  =)

Sunday Night Challenge Cards!

So this week really WAS all about crafting for me!  =) Tonight, I really wanted to get a few more challenges done before the week begins!  First, the EBTKS challenge this week was an inspiration item!

Isn't this bag just adorable?  I just love the colors and the fun flourish-y swirls all over it!  Definitely a great inspiration item!  I just bought some really fun, flourish-y looking chipboard from AR Creations on Etsy (seller Annie42) and so the timing was just perfect for this!  I was also able to use this card for the Tuesday Throwdown #20, which challenges you to use chipboard on your project.  Here's what I came up with:

I really REALLY like how this card turned out!  The chipboard was inked with a light blue so that it matched the cardstock, then I used foam adhesive to attach it to black cardstock and cut it out to make a bolder statement.  The rhinestones were just a fun, flashy touch!  I hope you enjoyed it too!

I was feeling SUPER crafty tonight, and so I also made this card which works with two other challenges that I wanted to try!  This works with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #74.  I also used the Off the Wall Craftiness Color Challenge #28 as inspiration.  Here is the challenge sketch and challenge colors:
So, using those two challenges, here is what I came up with:

I really, REALLY love this stamp set from Impression Obsession!  It has so many great sentiments and can be used for many different types of occasions.  The middle of the circle comes out and can be replaced with 4 or 5 different sayings!  The pearls are a lot more yellow than they look with the photos; for some reason it was hard to get those pics with my camera tonight!  You can also see the embossed yellow paper, which I really love!  These colors were also really fun to work with too!

Well, I hope everyone has a fantastic week!  Try to enjoy your Monday!  =)

Lots of Challenges!

Happy Monday!  So today I was able to tackle a few more challenges that I've been wanting to try!  I've been using the challenge opportunity to both use some of my NEW STAMPS as well as try out some new techniques that I've not used much before!  I started with the Repeat Impressions' WHAT IF? Wednesday Sketch Challenge S810:

I turned this sketch to the left, and this is what I ended up with:

As you can see, I finally got a chance to play with my new baker's twine and my new stamps from Repeat Impressions.  I just LOVE this little mouse stamp!  =)  I also played with the use of buttons as well as some Antique Linen distress ink to give the buttons a little bit of an aged look.

Next, I decided to tackle EBTKS Challenge 23, which used the following sketch:

Originally, I had thought of using this card for the current Embellish Color Challenge, but then I changed the layout and decided not to use paper piecing.  I did, however, get a great opportunity to use my new Lawn Fawn stamps:

Don't you just love love LOVE that Teeny Tiny Backdrop?  It's so easy to use and makes such a lovely background!  I also wanted to make this card look a little big aged, since I'm planning to use it as an anniversary card for a couple that has been together for quite a while!  =)  I added the buttons for just a little more whimsy!

Well, that's about it for now!  Take care and enjoy!  =)
