I was over at the DeNami blog the other day when I saw Wendy's awesome tutorial for a pillow box with a lovely little ribbon detail around the focal point. I LOVED this idea, and I was in the market for something neat with ribbon for Practical Scrappers today, and so I used that idea to inspire me to make this cute little valentine:
I wanted to make a heart-shaped valentine with ribbon details all over the outside! I also used the same technique on the center medallion! If you look closely, you can see that the large heart has the "XOXO" stamp all over it too (it was very hard to photograph that detail!)
Here is the back of the card, which I covered in cardstock and finished to sign and write a little valentine's note on:
As I said, you can see this card featured over at Practical Scrappers!!!
I'm also entering this card in the current challenge over at DeNami Design's Blog:
I hope you enjoyed this valentine! I've got lots more fun valentines to share in the upcoming weeks -- this is my FAVORITE time of year to make cards! =)
